Before’n’After Interview #26 – Alexander Mayer

Before'n'After Interview #26 – Alexander Mayer

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your everyday life

AM: I am 29 years old and come from near Stuttgart, but have been living and working in Luxembourg for almost 2 years. Professionally, I work as a relationship manager for a Luxembourg private bank. My job involves a lot of business trips, so I'm on the road 2-3 days a week on average.

How did you come across the Before'n'After program?

AM: I became aware of the program through the pictures on Facebook. After that I asked two buddies who had already tried the program and then I called Wolfgang...

Which sport did you do before the Before'n'After program?

AM: I used to play a lot of football before I had to stop due to injury. After that I started going to the gym. After I moved to Luxembourg I stopped doing that and for the last 2 years I've only been jogging in the woods from time to time.

What motivated you to start and follow the program?

AM: At the end of last year I was feeling very low and it took me forever to "get going" in the morning. My job and lifestyle weren't the best combination - I wanted to change that and the program seemed perfect for that.

How did your sleep develop during the program?

AM: I fall asleep much faster now, even if I go to bed at very different times. I also have the feeling of sleeping well and deeply - I'm always pretty fit in the morning.

How did your energy level develop during the program?

AM: Unbelievable - I have a lot more energy. As I said, I'm already fit in the morning and don't fall into the "lunch hole" even after lunch.

What was the biggest change for you?

AM: Apart from going back to the gym and working out – the food. Especially the breakfast. I hardly ever had breakfast before.

What's your favorite breakfast?

AM: Ham and Cheese Omelet

How often and for how long did you train?

AM: I try to make it to the studio 3-4 times a week. I train there for 45 to max. 60 minutes and as intensively as possible.

What is your favorite exercise?

AM: Bench press - please don't ask me why?!

Have you also done endurance training to lose fat?

AM: No - I don't enjoy cardio in the gym

What is the reaction of your environment to the change in the last few weeks/months?

AM: A lot of people laugh about the point about the change in diet - but the bottom line is that the response is very positive

And what happens now?

AM: For me, the improved sleep and more energy mean a significant increase in quality of life without a particularly great effort. The physical change is of course also a nice side effect. So I'll just keep doing it.
